Kitchen Description: Our certified commercial kitchen is committed to empowering aspiring and established food entrepreneurs, providing the necessary resources required to build, expand and sustain a successful food business. The kitchen is available 7-days a week from 8 am to 6 pm in either full or half day sessions. For extended and regularly scheduled engagements, custom monthly plans are available.

Rental Requirements :
  • Proof of insurance
  • License with the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals
  • ServSafe Certification or proof of knowledge of food handling safety
  • Rental time includes time to load and unload all materials and ingredients to be used during the rental session

Kitchen Policies

  • New users must schedule time at least seven days in advance and pre-pay at that time.
  • Renters must schedule usage in one-hour increments. The minimum rental period is for 4 hours. Your rental period must include the time necessary for loading and unloading, food preparation, and cleaning. Extra time used beyond your reservation will be billed to your account.
  • You may not transfer or assign your scheduled hours to others. Renters shall not grant access or allow a third party to operate in Lansing Kitchen Works at any time. Violation is grounds for immediate termination of your rental agreement and discharge from the facility

How To Rent

  1. Fill out the “Request to Rent this Kitchen” to the right.
  2. The Kitchen Manager will review your request. You will then meet to discuss the kitchen and your venture.
